To be eligible for the Alberta University Scholarship:
Programs for Masters
Completing a four-year baccalaureate degree, or its
academic equivalent, from an academic institution accredited by the University
of Alberta, is typically a prerequisite for admission.
It is necessary to have an entry grade point average based
on your most recent two years of full-time study (or equivalent) of 3 on most
4-point grading systems or B on most letter grading systems.
PhD Courses
Typically, applicants must have earned a master's degree or
its equivalent from a university that the University of Alberta recognizes.

Extra specifications
Certain departments have extra specifications, like:
Research Interest Declaration
Work experience in the area prior to taking educational

Advantages of the 2024 University of Alberta Scholarship
Regarding
undergraduate courses
These grants are available to newly enrolled first-year
undergraduate students who have a valid student visa permit. The $9,000 worth
of scholarships must be paid back over the course of four years.
Regarding master's
degree programs
Students pursuing master's degrees will get a stipend of
$17,500, plus an additional $10,000 for expenses if they are international
applicants.
Regarding PhD Programs
These $5,000 annual awards are meant to help PhD candidates
meet their tuition costs.

Candidates must be
